FAQ

How much notice is required prior to a move?

Generally, the earlier you book the move, the greater the chances are of you getting the time slot you want and of us being available on that day. However, we do accommodate last second moves to the best of our availability. Remember, the more notice you give us, the better, but it's never too late!

Are there any "hidden" costs?

No. All charges are clearly described in our detailed moving confirmation that you will receive within half an hour of booking with us. We encourage you to address all inquiries and concerns to our professional sales team so that you feel comfortable and informed about every aspect of your move.

Is it recommended to receive an estimate in writing?

We recommend on on-site estimate only for large (2 bedrooms and over) long distance moves, in order to accurately assess moving and/or packing conditions, stairs, service entrances, and delicate goods. For smaller loads we can get an accurate estimate over the phone and/or using our online quote. By simply filling out the online quote you give us the same picture and information as an on site estimate would give. An estimate is not necessary for local moves (within a 100 mile radius) due to the fact that the jobs are rated on an hourly basis and not priced based on the size of the load.

Are you professional movers?

Yes, we are licensed and insured. We only hire professional movers, packers, and consultants that are extremely knowledgeable in their fields. At Green Buffalo Moving, it is imperative to us to provide you with the best service among moving companies in Los Angeles.

What is the difference between a local and a long distance move?

If it is less than 100 miles from your old residence to your new residence within the same state it is considered a local move. Anything with a distance greater then 100 miles would be considered a long distance move.

What if I need storage?

We provide storage for our long distance customers, first month free. Other storage arrangements can be made to meet the specific needs of the customer. Please ask your moving consultant about your storage options.

Does Green Buffalo Moving have moving insurance?

Absolutely. We are insured according to state regulations requirements: up to $1,000,000.00.

Does Green Buffalo Moving do same-day moves?

Yes. We do same day moves with no extra charge whatsoever.

Does Green Buffalo Moving Charge for Gas?

On local moves there is no charge for gas. We do however charge "Double Drive Time" (as do other moving companies in Los Angeles). This is a regulation of the CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission). In a nutshell, the  time spent in transit between your destinations is doubled and charged at the agreed upon hourly rate.

On long distance moves there is a fuel charge. However, we can frequently work this in to an all inclusive flat rate quote at a significant discount.
